Nice shot.. great conversion. I would crop out the blur on the left, it's a bit distracting, and would put the focus more on the subject.

The OOF areas are quite interesting, almost giving a feeling of motion. Sort of lens baby-ish.

Shot puts me in mind of a person who is lost and isn't really looking to be found any time soon. I do like it, and find it interesting in black and white.

i agree with getting rid of the blur. if thats a post process, then try a version without it. also, because the subject is light in comparison to the background, i would accentuate that, instead of making her darker. b&w is a great medium for contrasts.

A560 will have to do... for now

Id say leave the 'blur' in mate. You obviously wanted it in the first place, or you wouldnt have done it. I like seeing your posts, i quite like the style of your stuff.

Nice one mate.

It is a little too dark. At least on my monitor.

I really liked it. It has a tough and gritty edge.

Interesting shot. About the blur not sure but seems ok. What I did find was that my eye was taken away from the model by the background. I also find it slightly dark on my monitor (although what looks ok to me others find some of my shots dark on their's)

i think the blur works for it. it pushes your eye right to the figure. after that, my reaction was noticing the coat and how the light hits it, then looking up at her hair. it wasn't until then that i noticed her eyes focused on me because her face is in shadow and that gave me the feeling of almost being embarrassed for staring at her. so, based on that, i'd say the photo works. ;)
