In more ways than one:D

I took this last year before I really started getting into photography and when I shot at things that my wife thought was stupid. Have just converted to b&w.

it's not a really exciting shot, imo. what's the main subject? the rock?

Yeah, but it is more abstract than that.

It has a good diagonal contrast and interesting textures. The fact that it is rocks is almost of no consequence.

Ansell Adams just took pictures of trees. ;)

I think this is an excellent point. I think the photo has it's merits; Balance, Contrast, Texture, Detail.

I'm an abstracty kind of person, you might not be so its each to their own. I might not like pictures of trains or light trails.

greatb range in textures and tones...the rocks look very "wet" good job. "Rock on!"
