I have never really liked the logo that was on my website, so i decided to try making a new one today. Im not sure if i like this one either, and i plan on changing the colors later-- different hue and so that the 'foto' is a different color from the 'jafari'. anyway, please let me know what you think!

the old logo:

To be honest, Im not fond of it. Its a little distracting. But I know how hard it is to come up with a logo, it can be frustrating at times. The only remedy is to just keep plugging at it and soon youll get to the point where you wont want to ask if its good or not, because you know it is:) Please dont take my opinion to heart, it is just my opinion. Youll get it soon, if this doesnt please you. Good luck.:D

I like the second one, but only the first part, up to the AFAxxx which I would leave out. I don't think there is a need to use the full words for a logo, initials are ok, and you did well with that. Nice artistic touch, but as I said, I would cut out everything after the "J".

Interesting, but too distracting. I can't make it out, although maybe that in itself is unique enough to leave your mark, so to speak.

I prefer simplicity but that's just me.

I agree with #1 being distractive and #2 is difficult to read quickly.

well, thats a pretty good consensus that its hard to read, which was my main concern. Thanks for all the honest opinions everybody!

I think there's potential there, but as they are now they are too hard to read.

Well if you could incorporate some of the interesting lines and relationships in a more legible version you may do better.

The potential is there, you're using some good design elements and headed in the right direction. In #1, the zebra style is distracting and one character, the letter "f" ends up looking somewhat warped and diseased. I really do like #2... except for the wrap-around "J" It's disconnected from the "afari" to the extent the entire name reads "foto afari" with the "J" being some sort of "smile" in the design. Work with the "J" a little and you'll have something really nice in my opinion. /Dan
