Well it was sunny, windy, rainy, sleety, snowy, dark, light....I was out with the GF so didn't take many (picture GF looking at watch tapping feet...getting cold) pictures but due to the rains I had to take a few near Ilkley. A nice spot, I will return without GF. :)

Very nice mist effect on the second one (especially viewing the larger image)

I've had another bash at photographing a waterfall and then I see yours and realise how much more I need to practice... I might post it to get some more feed back.

I realy like the second one. I think it would be better without that big branch in the middle of the stream though.

I love trying to take shots of streams here in Idaho, and I will definitely use your pictures as learning tools, especially your framing. Incredible shots. Also, as a stupid question, have you ever fallen into a stream?

If only she would hurry up and order that 30D I might get some peace. :) Cheers

That is one reason why we have no children, although I think the slingshot could be carried by one and the tripod by another ;) Thanks.

The mist effect was created by the wind hipping around a bit, often stright into the lens :( but post the shots, we'll be gentle. I remember about 12 months ago posting a shot then seeing Dimitri or Les's posts and nearly crying (well, throwing the 350D down the nearest waterfall at least ) :)

I wasn't sure, but at least it pointed into the picture. No way I was risking a dunking in the snow and hail though! Cheers.

Cheers Carol, I guess it is a sort of addiction, can't get enough of it.

Yes I have but only up to the knees. On the other hand, the Goredlae shots of 2 weeks ago, I intentionally waded waist deep in the ice water to climb a huge rock to get the best shot :|

Who me? :) Never, I always take a diverse range of...er....ferns and mosses :p Cheers again!

Another fine series from you Neil. Lots of color and a beautiful flow to the water, always enjoyable to view.

Ah now that's typical Neilyb stuff. ;) This is a really nice set, you've really nailed exposure on moving water and I always love the dark rich colors your shots have. And the GF wonders why I never take her when shooting is my main intention that day... :)
