Go ahead and dedicate an entire wing of your home to be used as storage. By the time you get all the lights, reflectors, props and what-have-you you'll need it ;-)a

My wife and I currently only utilize the upper two levels in our townhome. The basement level is completely finished but we don't use it for anything except extra storage and laundry. I've got tons of potential studio space. Yeah!

Wow, I'm jealous.

Me too. I've actually been thinking of selling my 4 BR and getting something smaller, but with a large room to use as a combined office and studio.

I've already taken over my living room/dining room area for my home studio. :D

Glad to see you are switching it up. I can be found in a lot of the fourms here.

I think the lighting forum is the one forum that you can actually learn something not directly gear related.

Light... the most important aspect of photography.

Welcome to the light LM. Now when are we gonna plan a trip back to Ethiopia?

Probably not for a while, man. But I can't wait to go back and revisit some scenes I'd like to shoot! Let's do it!

I grow bored with ongoing discussions, arguments and debates on the merits of various cameras and lenses. I'm going to hang out with you guys more often. Take it easy on me. I'm new.

Hmmm, ask a question about the merits of an LSII, or a softbox as opposed to a diffusion panel or umbrella, or a cheap off-shoe cord.....you'll see things aren't too different here. But it's a friendly group that has taught me a lot.

No doubt about it. That takes place in any forum, POTN or otherwise. I just find that a lot of the discussion about lighting is different from some of the chatter about lenses and cameras.

Oh, I agree completely. I just had to force myself to go back and check out some pictures in the photo sections. I was spending all my time reading the lighting section every day.

It's just too hard to keep up with everything! Just when you think you've covered everything, there's something you've left out.

I got a lot left to learn!

Yeah, I know the same mumbo jumbo carries on here, but it's a little more refreshing than the mumbo jumbo I'm used to. Besides, I need to start building a studio. And there goes more of my money...
