I am still trying...

Original Lensbaby

Shot in RAW. Converted to JPEG. Resized and uploaded.

Can anybody give me some pointers on how to focus with this thing? Ugggh! I think I am running about 10 savable shots to 300 tossed!

I think this is pretty good considering you used a Lens Baby... They are tough to focus. Dennis

That is it. I see other people nailing the focus but I am not having any luck.

I know a lot of it is practice but surely I would luck one occasinally? There has got to be something I am doing wrong...

In my original reply, meant to say "I think you shot is pretty good...." which I fixed. I have a Lensbaby2 and also have trouble getting a good focus. I have aperture disks that stop the LB down that I should try... can you do this on yours? It might make achieving focus a litle easier if the subject is bright enough... Dennis

That is my suggestion, too. I've never used a Lens Baby, but in low light focusing is tricky. I usually have at least a flashlight around to help me manually focus. With my 350D I have no hope of autofocus in low light like that.

Good luck. :)

I wish I could offer suggestions, but I don't have a lensbaby - yet. ;)
I may pick one up this summer.

Oops. Sorry

I have tried wide open and stopped down. My odds run about the same either way.

I think this little gizmo is going to do more for teaching me patience than anything I have ever encountered! It is driving me nuts!
