I was inspired to go and take some pics of Ashton Windmill when i spotted some pics of it in another POTN members gallery, anyway, this is my take on it.... I much preferred the way these one's looked in B&W [I'll post some of the colour ones sometime soon] , please let me know what you think....

*edit* i posted the colour ones in the travel & landscape section, here: http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=267129

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the forums. I prefer the color versions better. B&W is good when it's part of the story, and in this case I like the color story. Just another opinion, and no help. Keep posting. Good to see more of your part of the planet.

Steve, I visited your post yesterday, but I find it hard to say something usefull about so many shots. So, I moved on... Each one deserves a thorough critics, and this takes too long for so many shots. That's my explanation on why I remained silent... now about the shots: I like the first one for it's perspective and the third one for the shadow.

cheers

i can see your point, with so many pics it does make it a bit more time consuming for people to comment... I'll try to limit how many i put up in future, thanks for the tip and your comments....

It just can be a turn off for people like me. Some don't have this problem, so understand my hint as something I said only from my perspective... I rather write some decent comment on one shot than "nice shot" for dozens of postings... or one posting with several shots, except you ask for a comparison between several versions. Keep on posting. I'm looking forward to more of your photographs.

cheers

I like the B&W, and I think that your perspective is great. Nice angles, nice shadows.
