Hi all,

I finally got around to processing some images taken a few weekends ago here in downtown Memphis. The day I shot this was gloomy and had rain on and off, and I was hoping for a different looking shot because of these conditions. I was pleased with how a few turned out, especially this one since everything was still wet from a light mist/sprinkle and the cloud ceiling over downtown was VERY low. As soon as I eye'd the scene, I knew it would make for an interesting black and white conversion.

The sky portion of this image is pretty blown, but that's actually an accurate representation of how this scene looked that day. C&C on the shot/b&w conversion welcomed. Thanks.

Couple of DSLRs, number of lenses and other stuff... plenty short on talent.

How did you get the street so empty?

Great shot!

lol, my family asked me the same question. I think just about everyone else had sense enough to stay out of the rain. It was actually a pretty dreary and rainy day out for the most part.... I was just lucky enough to be roaming about downtown in between the heavier rains.

Appreciate the feedback.
