Well, I figured I better quit being a panzy and post some images. These are from last friday at The Firehouse in North Manchester, IN. Free show, all ages.
Images batch processed in DPP. This was my first time using my 28 1.8 (in addition to the 50 1.4). I was trying to improve my spot metering skills as well. I think 1 is a little blown (histogram didn't show it), but i could probably do some Highlight/shawdow tool in PSE to improve things.

From the look of the venue/lighting you have done a pretty good job.

#5 - I wish his eyes were open (but very nice shot regardless)
#6 - I love the composition

hehe yeah, b&w to the rescue. This is actually one of my favorite venues. It is an old firehouse with tons of couches and coffee tables all around and blankets draped from the ceiling. I think it is funded by the city or something, because the bands get paid, but the shows are always free. A lot of bigger 'indie' type bands will use this place for 'secret' gigs. They have to be secret because the capacity is only a couple hundred at best.

When it's for the sake of performing arts and music...than it's a good thing...You provide a very important service to the program...Congrats...
