Dude, I share your enthusiasm. I bought mine when I got my 5D a week before christmas, and have been frantically imagining scenes to use it with. The ones I posted in the samples archive for this lens just draw me in whenever I look at them!

It's one of those lenses that makes me want to go out with just it and the body and see what happens - a zen thing I guess!

Precisely! This is a great lens to have in your tool bag. I'm kicking myself for not getting it sooner. Glad to know you're enjoying yours as much as I am. ;)

Very interesting, Malone! I'm really looking forward to going full-frame or 1.3x the more and more you post :) Unfortunately I'm trying to fill my bag with better glass before I get a new body.

Good glass is definately more important. Looks like you've got a nice wide lens in your line up already. No need to rush to FF or 1.3x crop. ;)

Thanks for that. Though I doubt that photos of my dining table have any real artistic value. LOL

I do plan on putting this lens to the test in DC this coming weekend. Oh yeah. ;)

I really like what you've done to the inside of your dining room. Would you mind posting some other pics of your place? FYI, I'm not a crazy stalker - I just love to look at interior design and architecture.

Well then. Now's the time to sell off that XT and 10-22, and take advantage of the double rebates with the 5D and 15mm Fisheye. ;)

The Canon fish is a great catch (get it?)...watch out for CA though...it is razor sharp, and it's sqeeky sounding little focus motor gives it a kind of R2D2 cuteness...It is great for weddings, buildings, even landscapes...also great for interesting portraits, longating the legs, arms, etc...can make a fat person thin too, albeit with lots of distortion but hey.

Gear is essential, but often has little to do with composition, pictures, and art...Alfred Steiglitz

Canon 5D, Canon 1D Mark II, All L primes from 14mm through 200mm. All L zooms from 16mm through 400mm. 2.0x TC

And then be $2000 in debt. Trust me, I've thought about it. However, being a college student with a part-time job, and my parents moving south means I lose a LOT of conveniences, so I can't justify spending that much right now.

You don't need to justify anything. You just need to do it. As a matter of fact, I'm not asking you, I'm telling you! Do it now before I beat you!

Seriously, nothing's more important than finishing your education, and I admire you for your discipline. I wish more young people would think as you do. You've got a great tool to learn and grow with for now, and I'm sure you'll acheive your goal of getting a FF sooner rather than later. ;)

Landing a good job because of your education and skills will get you to FF, it's win~win.

Right now that part of my house is pretty trashed. LOL Wifey is still in Africa and I've been such the slob. I'll take some pictures when I can get around to cleaning up a bit. ;)
