I LOVE LOVE LOVE the slide shows that are made by Showit Web. I think they are so awesome, BUT I at this time I am not interested in having slideshows on the web only.

Does anyone know of software that is simple to use, but produces shows similar to Showit Web? Mainly one that you can program the transitions to happen on the beats of the music?

I have proshow gold, but I don't LOVE it.

I know Showit web shows can be transfered to DVD by a certain company DJ recommends, but I want something that I can do myself.

Anyone? Anyone?

Yes, but can you time the show so that transitions happen on certain the beats?

I use Pinnacle Studio Pro, it's actually movie making software, so it'll handle anything you can think of for slideshows, I like it for wedding proofing because I can create chapters to make it easy for customers to navigate the disc.
It will also create web size shows but I haven't tried it for that yet. It's actually quite reasonably priced too.

Yes, you can.

The Audio - Record Slide Timing (Ctrl-Alt-R) command will let you record when transition should start and end while listening to the music. It's done with either the left mouse button (holding it down during your desired transition) or with the number keys with each key corresponding to a different transition.

Hi Luke,

Really happy that you have completed this so quickly. I had a look at the demo on the website and it looks fantastically simple. Perfect for someone like me.

Cheers Nicholas
