I was at Ding Darling NWR today and this guy was hanging out by the side of wildlife drive posing for photos.

I just looked at one of the reference sites and I think it is a Red shouldered hawk

Good captures of an RSH. The images are fairly sharp but you could improve em by using the shadow/highlight tool to bring more details in the underwing and to lighten the eye shadow.

I use Fill flash in Adobe photoshop to lighten the underwing area, and the eye. Depends I guess on what program you have. Amazing shots, though. You got some good ones!

Thanks for the compliment but I can't take any credit for fieldcraft, Ding Darling has a road running through it where everyone crawls along at 5 mph looking for wildlife, This guy was about 20 feet away so I just pulled over and got out of the truck. It is a nice refuge though with a lot of variety, there were also some roseate spoonbills there today but they were a little far away to get good shots of.

That's really nice. I love the way the wings are held down like that. Looks like he has a cape on! What a great pose.
