I don't like the way the sun is on this and sky is blown out. Try shooting it from the other side with the sun behind you or maybe completey out of the sun. Just my .02 :D otherwise nice shot.

I'd use a quicker shutter speed and shoot with the sun at my back.

Good effort at trying something different, keep at it. But while I like to do a flare shot sometime too, I'm wondering why you included the pole growing out of the hood & especially why you didn't see the big area of bare dirt reflected in the door? Sometimes we don't have a choice where they are, but when it's your car & you can put it anywhere you want it...
Cars are like big mirrors & probably one of the hardest things there are to shoot. You have to look at everything! ;)
