Still learning the nuances of the 5D, here's my first landscape shot with it. I would've taken the shot in a landscape format, but, the highway runs right along the edge of the lake just outside the frame on the right, and there was a few distracting elements to the left, so portrait format it was :)
let me know what you think, i'm not quite sure if i like it yet or not...

Could you post the colour version as it looks nicely composed, not sure if there's enough contrast for a b&w version.

ya, i think you're right, definately not enough contrast. here's the original out of the camera shot, and my latest version of it.

Newer version is much better, you can see the details in the trees now at least. I like the shot.

The latest version looks very nice. I think the B&W works well for this shot. IMO, the top and bottom should be cropped tighter, I don't think they add much to the image.
