Just curious, thinking of buying one that collapses to 30'' but I dont want it to hit my head in the Mini Trekker tripod

30" is definitely long for me. It doesnt fit into many bags that I take into which I have to keep the tripod for airline checkin.

Anything more than 24" is long imho if its used extensively for travel.

I have had a 25" overall height (including protrusions like feet) be taken for checked baggage rather than carry-on, in flying Air New Zealand in April within country (different rules than international flights on ANZ). So if you want to fit it inside another carryon, 30" isn't going to work, and you are restricted to ONE carry on item on many non-US carriers.

I'm not worried about flying with it -- it's for shooting nature and such. I just wonder if it will hit my head? The pack is 16'' tall in its exterior. I'll be standing on my snow mobile riding, I just wonder if anyone would be able to say?
