Looks like a fun show, nice job. #1 looks like it could use a little curves/levels to me. I really like #2. We're supposed to have an Eagles tribute band opening up here in a couple of months. I'm looking forward to that one.

i like #2 the best as well. good comp and moment. looks like you had enough light to stop down just a bit more to get more DoF if you wanted to.

For some reason the other set looks a bit better to my eye, but they are all superb!

Thanks Basil,
Curves is next in order for me to get good with...I worked on one and two quite a bit, and will go back to the original and try it again...

Thanks for your feedback narlus,
#2 is a favorite of mine too...It is one pick of several from a burst at that particular moment...I changed the aperture on the fly, and tried to get more depth of field whenever possible...This particular shot was way across the stage...and Bryan was approx. 10 feet behind Shaun...It's all with the 85mm 1.8 prime...

Thank you Dwight,

I have three pair of glasses by the computer...all to compensate for my slight near sightedness...Instead of getting a glasses prescription filled next time, I'll just go next door to the Laser surgeon and have this slight eye focus adjustment done...

The first thread of the "players" was easier to make cause of lesser depth of field requirements...These are all stage side shots and the second person is border lining the edges of DoF.

Thanks Ferrari 1,

The stage lighting team did a great job on this set...The set may stay this way for a while...we'll see next time, if I'd be so lucky.

I took to light, the suggestion of adjusting this picture...

I only know enough of levels, to adjust the colors with the sliders...

I would further like to work up the "image on the screen" enough to enhance the colors, and remove the unnecessary grays...

This image was shot in RAW...Any post processing suggestions?

That looks good to me. Is that the image out of the camera or PP'd?

Yes, it is post processed...but just marginally....I sharpened it, and used the levels slider...I know there is a way with curves to enhance the big screen image...I once did it accidentally a few months back on a similar image...now I will have to follow the instructions once and for all...sometimes trial and error just doesn't work...

I like the second edit way better then the first (where the highlights on the skin are greenish gray), but it still needs some work: Highlights are blown (red channel); should be recoverable in ACR. I'ld crop tighter (left). Also, I don't like the skin tone: too 'pinkish'. Maybe a little channel mixer: Red channel; R=90; G=8; B=2...
Also looks like a bit too much NR to me.
Seems like you had difficult lighting to work with: Plenty quantity, not enough quality...
Some nice images, but also some strange crops.

Nice set.

Thanks for the selected #'s, James...Helps me decide when I go to print them, and for framing on the my walls.

I must say though, # 1 was a total surprise, after I got home, I found the near exact same image, to be on that big screen too...

FYI: I spent two and a half days post processing these nearly straight through with out stopping...the excitement of the positive progress kept me going...Hopefully, I have learned enough now, to take it easy.

Rene's pointers for color adjustment will be taken to hart...I'll need time to try it out...Will respond to his post ASAP.
(gotta 250 mile drive to do first.)

I think there is a mistake in the Glenn Fry photo in Tequila Sunrise. The person in the photo is Jason Manning not Sean Patrick McGraw

I'm aware that Jason Manning is in the band, however... which photo are you referring to?
And thanks for the heads up... I'll do the changes as soon as we can ID the photo you're referring to... Thanks again.
