For what it's worth, I took my new Domke F-3X out today with 5D, 24-70, 100-400 and 580EX in the main compartment. If I'd put the 580 in one of the 2 big outside pockets I could have fit a couple of smaller lenses in the main part.

He's only got one body and no huge lenses. I get 2, 24-70, 70-200, 15-30 and a flash easily into the F-802. Similar into the F-2. The F2 used to hold 2 of my FD bodies and 5-6 lenses. When I've got most of my stuff, I also use the F-1X.

I think that he has two bodies, a 10D and 5D.

In my J bag I have a 5D with a 50 f1.4 on the camera, then three or four lenses (16-35, 24-85, 70-200 f2.8L and either a 1.4 extender or a 100 f2.8 macro) in the lens pouch; and a 20D with a body cap. There's not a scrap of space left in the main part of the bag, and I wouldn't store a lens in an outside poach. I can't get two bodies and six lenses in either my J bag or the F1X so I don't see how they'd fit in an F2.

Short of having body caps on both bodies and stacking lenses lenses, two to a lens tube, I don't know how it's done. Even with the way that I do it now it's a little bit tight.

Besides I'm not sure if it's such a great idea to buy a bag like this for what you have now, unless you a pretty sure that nothing will radially change. Will he add larger lenses? More lenses? The difference in price and weight of the F1X/J bag over the F2 is small enough for me to choose the larger bags.

I took "Canon 50" to be a 50 mm lens. What he's got if that's the case will fill an F-3X nicely; I had 5D/24-70, 100-400 and 580EX in mine yesterday, with room for a couple of more lenses.

This (a) unobtrusive and (b) very fast to get camera out to shoot.

I have also been very pleased with Think Tank's Speed Freak. See my preliminary review in this thread, post #5:
