Hello all;
I spent last weekend taking photos at the Hollister Hills Gran Prix track. I shot over 1900 images in two days. Here are two images from this event.

Sweet.
The dappled shots are hard to pull off but that one has great light.

I don't care what they say. I am an editor for a website, and those are great. I would post them anytime.

A flash would have been nice for the little motorcrosser shot.

Yeah that would work but I was working on the priniciple of carrying less equiptment with me.Running around an outdoor MX track ends up wearing one out when they are carrying more gear thhan they absoulutely need. Thank you for all the compliments.

Love the downhill shot. My nephew races motocross and I can't wait to get to one of his races and take some shots!

Cool pics! My friend just got first there this weekend. He has only done desert races, so it was his first MX race.

I'm thinking or renting a 300mm lens and a 1.4x converter to shoot him there. Would a 70-200 be better? How close do you get?

I talked to the promoter and was able to shoot from inside the perimeter. It was the my firdt time at this track and it was great fun. I was using a Mark ll and a 100-400 lens as well as a 17-40 for wide andgle images. A 300 is a bit much there but give it a try iy might work for you.

Do you have a schedule of all the races? I've been to Hollister a few times but mostly in the upper ranch with my Pathfinder 4-wheeling.

I'd like to come down and shoot some MX racing too even if it's just practicing rounds.
