i think it's a great picture. maybe try a different angle (lower) to take away from the 'normal' perspective one sees.

It almost looks oversharpened, but then again that could be my horrible eyes.

Love the look on her face though. Great capture.

love it! i also like to get abnormal perspectives, but i think normal in this case is really working. it keeps her chin up and lets you get a nice head tilt. was this taken with the 24-70?

Thanks for the kind words... This was taken with the 17-40 I believe. I didn't have the 24-70 at the time. However as a side note, I LOVE my 24-70.

I believe you are correct. It isn't as bad on the full size image, but I must have gotten carried away on the resize for the web... maybe I should sleep more before doing this sort of thing... ;)

Actually, I'm not sure about the perspective... my first impression was that angle made the lady look very big / bulky, and ladies generally perfer to look a little more slender. Maybe she is a big girl, but her shoulders look quite sqaure in the photo, and her tummy is showing a bit in the photo as well. Just gives a big-bodied impression that looks kinda weird.

I noticed immediately that with her leaning into the seat of the swing it squished her bulk from her midsection into her stomach making it bulge and her hands protruding out from under her breasts look strange and out of place.

I like the unusual camera position and her expression however. Another thing I find distracting is the yellow chains. Lighting is flat also.

I like the pose, but I think it was a tad over exposed. If it was shot in RAW try bumping down the exposure one or two notches.

Thanks for the edit. I was so busy looking at everything else, I didn't even notice it was a tad on the bright side. I did shoot it in RAW so I can go back and rework it (if I can find the time ;))

I think the original looks fantastic. Just the right amount of sharpness and great color.
