I don't know what I wanted really, it was one of those "spur of the moment" things. If I thought about it too much the shot probably would have been brighter with better composition but thats not what I was doing. Probably goes against everything I've learnt over the past 6 months.
I agree... i find myself in that same situation often. I usually just take the picture, and if it looks good to me, i'll keep it, and if it doesn't, i take some time and see what i could have done to make it a better shot... and i haven't really lost anything.
Often times, it's something as simple as my iso being set too low, or my shutter speed too fast, and i learn from these shots... that's the beauty of digital!
