its been absolutley beautiful here in northern california for the past 3 weeks. for the most part, bright sunny days in the mid 60s. i get my new lens in the mail yesterday afternoon...and sure enough its pooring down rain today. i mean what the hell, same thing happened when i got my XTi, beautiful mid 70's then BOOM rain. when i got my 50 f/1.8, next day, rain. its even worse then when you wash your car, the rain is harder and comes faster. i give up

Think positively! It gives your models that wet look.

If you think the rain is a disappointment, just wait till you take that 70-300 out for a spin.

Sorry, I shouldn't rain on your parade  ...being a Nor Cal resident as well...
