Jun 23, 2011 17:17 | #2359 Probably going to shoot the fireworks at Duluth and Chateau Elan, possibly the ones in Jefferson too but that's going to be for the paper. I am planning on going to Cape Canaveral for the last shuttle launch on July, 8th as long as the weather looks good enough to make the trip. Something I've always wanted to shoot and this is my last chance. Marc went 2 launches ago (I think), and I went to one many years ago when I was still using my Minolta 35mm and a 70-200. I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

I'll probably go with them. I'm just hoping for good weather since I'm on vacation that week and it is the last one ever. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I have to tell you, those girls were awesome working the airwaves to make and log contacts all over the USA.

Jul 04, 2011 18:00 | #2364 Well I was trying to find out when all the displays were happening but I didn't know Duluth had theirs last night or I would have come shot. I couldn't find a local page with a time listed except for last years and 2009. Headed out to Braselton now so hopefully the rain will stay away and I'll get some shots! They seem like they have some decent prices, and local has a definite appeal if I can save on shipping. http://aperturent.com/about/rent-lenses-atlanta I've heard good things about them. I've never rented anything from there yet but I have some extra $$$ from a wedding I shot recently. Too bad they don't have any Carl Zeiss lenses. I'd like to try out the 21mm and the 85mm.
