Hey guys! Im in Marietta and am looking for some cool places to shoot sunsets/sunrises. Anyone got any favorite haunts for this type of shooting? Was thinking Kennesaw Mt., but I dont thing they let you on the Mountain after 8 or before 8am. Any places that you guys know of? Also, old cemeteries...looking for those to shoot in as well. Anything come to mind with those? I appreciate any comments.

Yes I have been there twice for two different reasons. One was a tripod broke and my camera and lens fell into sand (luckily was at the beach and not somewhere else)... so they cleaned it and some other stuff and it was good as new (both lens and body). Also they cleaned my body sensor one time before I went to Europe because I had a ton of dust on it all of a sudden. I plan on going there in August sometime to get my sensor cleaned again.

I would recommend them for sure. They are not able to 'rush' anything and are not fast as I would like, but they will give you an estimate in about 2 days and then if you say 'okay' they will start working on it. The sensor didn't take too long, but the other job took a bit over a week to get back. IMO much better than sending it in the mail somewhere!

im about to call them now and check on my camera they have had it for 4 days now. i hope it is at least been processed and in the system

EDIT:

and... they did i terrible job. i do not suggest CRJ. they didnt even calibrate my camera. it seems the same as when i dropped it off. i was assured my new lens would be tack sharp and its still the same from when i attempted to micro adjust it myself. maybe i should open my own lens calibration center since i think i can do better than them since they didnt do anything at all lol

There's a reason I send my stuff to Canon. They guarantee their work and know what they're doing. Sorry to hear your local experience was a bust.

All those going to Petit I hope we can meet up! MotorSportMedia will have an RV with food and drinks. I am there from Wed-Sun working. Shoot for Roundel and Motorwerks Magazine. Myself and my partner will be out with the Canon bazookas making it happen.

Feel free to shoot me a PM. Stop in and say "Hi".

I just rented a 50mm 1.2 L for this past weekend and the CA with this lens was just absolutely terrible. Many have told me that this is a common issue with this lens. My friend rented a 70-200 2.8 Mark II and he was telling me that he had to color correct all of his photos. Are these L Lenses up to par or are they junk? I have the 24-105 L and it's perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with it at all. I was under the assumption that these L lenses were top of the line. Is it because we're dealing with rented lenses? I am tempted to bring my 5D Mark II to a camera store and try out a brand new 50mm 1.2L. I was planning on buying one but now, I don't know...
