thanks. my girlfriend and i have a mission to visit every state park in Georgia and just travel and visit everything in our wonderful state. I really love landscape photography but have actually found it to be one of the hardest types of photography, not even going to attempt wedding photography as im scarred ill miss that one important shot and ruin everything lol.

but yea im planning on getting that second one printed. i think my photography has improved quite a bit since i finished school and started shooting more. Im determined to join the group here on a photo outing next time one is planned

You should join us this Saturday, a group of us are going up to Cloudland Canyon...a great GA state park. It is one of my favorites that I have been to in our state.

Landscape Photography has its own set of challenges, and it has a lot of room to learn, my next big learning adventure will be focus stacking...

Wedding photography IS stressful, I have shot two, and it wears me out both physically and mentally, and I was the second on both...well, supposed to be second, I ended up being the prime shooter on one...without knowing it for a while!

haha yea. wedding photography and video scares me and i have made it through TV news gathering and productions with my sanity.

I had someone recently as me if I was interested in doing weddings and engagement photos and told her that she should consider a professional with wedding experience. id shoot the engagement photos and rent some gear but weddings are a no go for me unless i gained experience working as a second for someone. weddings are kind of like sports except there are no time outs lol. i would love to work as a second or assistant on some wedding shoots but i dont know many photographers in atlanta as my network is very small and limited to work i have done at Georgia Public Broadcasting

Working as the second is a great way to gain some experience...I am glad I did it, I would do it again for the right prime and the right people. The people getting married make a HUGE difference. If they are cool, easy to get along with people, it goes SO much better.

I took yesterday off to spend with the rugrat...and while she took her afternoon nap I sat down in the office and got all my gear organized for tomorrow's Cloudland trip...looking forward to it. Should be a great day for it too. Hopefully that rain last night knocked a lot of the pollen out of the trees, and cleaned it off all the rocks. I know it will help the water flow through the canyon.

Sorry I haven't replied to you. My life has been loco lately But I got some weekends mixed up and though our work we was last week. Needless to say I was wrong and very disappointed. Have some fun out there!

Sorry to hear you can't join us, just three of us going, but I got my kitchen pass, I am gonna use it.

I have shot several weddings....good fun. They are taxing....but oh so much fun....

Shooting some more T&I tomorrow...otherwise I would have been looking for a shoot...

Had a really nice morning at Cloudland Canyon yesterday. It was a very cool 42 when we got out of the car...and we had the place to ourselves for the longest time...didn't see other people until after 10 AM...no waiting for people to move toget the shots at the falls...

First edit, of Cherokee Falls...sitting on a rock in the middle of the stream.

Thanks Ron. It was an off day for me...took 106 frames, and 62 of them went straight in the garbage. I got probably 5 or 6 that I was happy with.
