Isn't that like an alcoholic tending bar....wow, that would be tough...would be worse if it was B&H...or Showcase or KEH...at least you get to be around cameras all the time.

Speaking of KEH, I stopped by there today to see if they have a showroom. They don't, but they had a lot of used camera bags in their lobby that they were selling for real cheap. I walked out with two small hard cases, a canvas Canon gadget bag, and an old leather camera bag for $20 total.

My dad retired from Lockheed in the 90s. I wish I hadn't seen that you're from Acworth-- it reminded me that I need to get up there to eat at Henry's Louisiana Grill (which is better than anything I had in the real Louisiana).

Oh yeah, Henry's is absolutely awesome. I highly highly recommend it for anyone that might be even close to the area. ONLY drawback is going at night. Call ahead and/or be prepared to wait. Completely worth it though.

IF you haven't gotten it before, finish the meal with the bread pudding. Warning, it will more than likely ruin all other bread puddings forever. It is that good.

Side note, the road that goes between Henry's and the drug store is a fairly popular photography spot. I am unsure if it is the same photographer each time, but I have seen numerous engagement and wedding photos being taken against the brick wall there. I am pretty sure that it has a very large Coke advertisement painted on it.

haha well thankfully we dont carry any high end stuff at my location although i still order lots of gear for customers. we get several 5D3 and D800 customers a months as well as customers wanting me to help them pick out their next L lens lol. so its has its fun times and the kinda boring times. its fun helping people especially those new to DSLRs that want to learn photography

There's a reason I've only been to Showcase twice this year :)! I LOVE camera bags, but I don't carry a purse so I guess it could be worse..
DD at the Varsity yesterday, I liked all the red around so I didn't let her eat in peace, she's a good sport though:

Great shallow DoF Carmen, it really works to isolate her and put the focus on her. I like the play in all the red too.

Nice shot, Carmen. Makes me want some Varsity chilidogs.

I was glad to finally see the sun last week. I got out on Wednesday morning after dropping my daughter off at school. I went to Riverside park in Roswell. Nice park!
A few shots:

1. I intended to do some birding, but got distracted by the frost that morning:

2. I had to get out the Macro lens:

3.

4.

5. A Mockingbird came by for a while:

6. Thoughts? Not my typical style, but I thought it was interesting:

7. While driving home, I saw some Kingfishers near a creek going under the road. I stopped for a while, but as usual, the Kingfishers didn't cooperate. However, this Hairy Woodpecker (or maybe a Downy?) entertained me for a while:

I like 6... but then I have shot that spot a couple times. I like the angle you chose.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Stumbled on this Atlanta thread. Will have to take some time now and get through the pages to see what I missed. I am up in the Canton area.
