Greetings!

I had a blast at the Falcons game Saturday. About 3 weeks ago, I found a front row endzone seat online. Thought about renting a 200 2.8 for the game (meets the under 6 inch policy) but decided to just take my sx50 instead. I regretted it some, but whatever. Still had a great time.

Couple of shots:

I bet they still wouldn't have let you take that lens into the stadium. They wouldn't let me do it at practice earlier this year. Ticked me off. They're very picky/protective about camera gear. Glad you had a good time though. I hope they pull it off this Sunday. That would be awesome!

I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

Yep, 2.8. It would be within their guidelines but you never know what the security guard would say.

In this particular case, I think I could have walked in with my 100-400 or 70-200 with no problems. I was near front of the line when the doors opened and security seemed more interested in getting people in as fast as they could. I wouldn't want to chance it, especially since I rode Marta in.

I've had fun at Braves games with the sx50, but it really didn't do well with the Falcons. The action is too fast.

I'm thinking of getting tickets and going to the super bowl. I'm a big falcon fan for several decades. I'm wondering if they all have the 6" rule on lens. And how they measure it? I would have the rules printed with me if I was to take my gear to a game. Just in case a doorman tried to prevent me from bringing in gear that meets the arenas specs. I wonder when they will come out with some efm lens in the telephoto size as most of the mirrorless lenses are so much shorter and lighter than the ef and EFS counterparts.

I remember being able to take my 70-300 to the thrashers game. But if I remember they let me bring it the camera and only one lens mounted on it
