Canon 20D Canon 50mm f/2.8 Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125) Aperture: f/1.8 ISO Speed: 1600 Shot at Celebrity in Las Vegas, they're the best unsigned band in Vegas. Nicest guys in the world, and to top it off... they put on a GREAT live show.

Jan 27, 2007 23:07 | #5 Celebrity is just a Lounge/Club type place that is stand-alone by Fremont Street. Sometimes they give me a hard time bringing the camera in, but since the band wants me to shoot them, I just let the door guy know im with the band and they let me in. No problem about the reply speed. Ah, the local lounge scene...It's typical in resort communities...I lived in Lake Tahoe and Reno/Sparks for many years and the lounge scene is hopping 24/7...the musicians are real good too cause they have several gigs to play at... Jan 27, 2007 23:45 | #7 Good Advice, especially if you don't have the band backing you to get in. These guys usually play 2 times a month, when I'm not on the road, I like to catch their shows. Canon 1Ds Mii & Canon 5D (main) 20D (backup)

I was writing just now in the wedding section too...It would be interesting to check these venues out, for all they have going on weeknights, when it's a little slower...If you're a local, everybody will recognize you and eventually it's a shoo in to get through the door. Apart from that: Nice image, but: johnstoy wrote in post #2611933 Here in the Forum your pics can be up to 800x800... "I think the idea of art kills creativity" - Douglas Adams

Jan 28, 2007 11:07 | #13 I hate looking at thumbnails after a shoot and thinking I have some GREAT shots, then getting back to a laptop to see they were soft. Resolution tricks are a pain, but we must learn to live with them in a digital camera age hehe Canon 1Ds Mii & Canon 5D (main) 20D (backup)
