Hello everyone,

Here's a photo I took of my son at the 4th ID Museum, Fort Hood, TX. We were looking at some of the old military trucks and found a Soviet Union one with huge wheels...almost as tall as my son! C&C always welcome. :)

I just frequent the people section the odd time, I like your picture, nice and sharp, and large wheels on this truck. Well done.:D

Thanks, Trevor, you're too kind!:) It's funny, though, because I posted this way in January and nobody commented on it. I thought either everyone loved it or hated it enough not to cc whatsoever.;)

I've actually learned a lot since then. I know there are things I'd definitely do differently on this photo.

Thanks again!:D

The lighting is great, the kid is well lit, nice colors, and sharp. The only thing is the lens flare on the upper part of the pic seems a bit distracting. A lens hood may help in situations like these, unless the flare is intended as part of the shot.

Thank you, Mike!:) That's actually one of the things I would have changed. Honestly, I don't really know how I got the lens flare since I had the hood on my Tamron. I think I may have angled the camera up somehow because, if I remember correctly, I may have been standing on a slope. I know, I know...what was I doing standing there...who knows...you know what they say, "Anything to get that shot!"

Hi there,

I used fill flash. I haven't used my built-in since I've had the external one (430EX)...didn't like how my photos came out with the on-camera flash.:)

What do you mean he'll be handful later...he is NOW!;) He is a bit adventurous...he almost got caught trying to get into one of the trucks. He was just so adamant about getting into one, though it was prohibited to do so. Boys!!!
