I don't take many wildlife photos but I'm pretty happy with this one.

Taken at Richmond Park, London, UK.

Drive through the park many times but I've never seen as many deer as you've captured. Love the way the sun rays are coming down.

I think a larger pic would give more detail and would look awesome. Forum rules are that the longer side should be no longer than 800.

My Canon can.. I just need to find out how

Thanks for that. I edited the original to include a larger 800 px version.

Stunning Wabbitt, have you tried adding more contrast to see how it looks? Just a thought.

Looks even better wabbit! Stunning picture!

I think i agree with Attic.. a little more contrast may help it a little bit.

Thanks guys. Wildlife isn't really my thing. I took this (and a bunch of others) whilst out walking my dog and I liked the outcome.

I'll give the contrast tweek a go!

OK. After you recommendation I've tweaked the contrast slightly. I had to use GIMP as I don't have Photoshop on this particular machine.

I noticed tweaking the contrast the the bit of lens flare I had is pronounced a bit more.

Nice work Wabbitt I think it's given it a bit more depth. Print and hang now.

Beautiful shot. I love the mood. I wonder how this would work in sepia?

Ah, my old childhood stamping ground, the days I spent walikng and cycling around that park and collecting edible chestnuts. Even did my A biology level project with permission of the Park authorities....crikey that was a long time ago:(

A lovely well seen scene. I have tweaked it slightly in CS2 - used USM LCE settings and a little Smart Sharpening

Hope that is OK :)

you should send to Richmond & twickenham Times - sort of shot they like to publish on the letters page (no fee unfortunately).

Thanks for that. You have added something to this. I must be honest I don't normally go for this type of shot because I'm more of a portrait person, but when I saw it I just took the camera out of the bag, hid in behind a tree to try and stop the sun glaring at me so much and took some shots.

@ racketman: I'll do that! I had one photo published in the Brentford, Chiswick times before actually. It was a fire on one of the riverboats there. It was 3am in the morning and I took some ISO 3200 shots which made the front page. I was pretty chuffed. Again.... no fee! pah.
