some of you from chicago might recognize the band... this was the first time i shot anything on stage, XTi, kit lens, very, very, very dark bar. sorry i just posted most of the smaller ones, but the big ones can all be seen on my flickr site.

Other than action and telephoto there are also the extremes of wide angle and possibly macro that aren't that well covered by P&Ss. They are catching up though and for less demanding shooting there are very capable P&S alternatives like Canon's or Fuji's newer models.
