DSLR's attract girls. :D

QUOTED IMAGE

If DSLRs attracted girls like that, I'd buy one every time I got paid. :D What a beauty!

I agree that DSLR allow you to take shots that normal very hard if not impossible with a P&S.

With that said, I saw a website taken with a Canon G2 (maybe saw it from here) that put some of those with DSLRs to shame, including me.

Does the binoc thing actually work? That would be cool if it did.

Actually, it did... He showed me the images he had shot and even though they weren't great they were useable.

Not a great picture, but ISO 3200 in a VERY dark room.

For me what really sets DSLRs apart from P&Ss are telephoto, low light and action - in my case mostly sports and birds. Other than action and telephoto there are also the extremes of wide angle and possibly macro that aren't that well covered by P&Ss. They are catching up though and for less demanding shooting there are very capable P&S alternatives like Canon's or Fuji's newer models.

I don't quite know what to choose but here are a few shots I think would not be that easy to take using a P&S:

Awesome photos Fretnomore!!!.... I'm convinced ;) I think I'll go out and get another DSLR.

Seriously, what lens were they shot with? 70-200 f2.8??

One comment would be to paint out the drop in the swimmers mouth...

Great galley btw but I wish it showed EXIF data.

Both these shots would have been impossible with a point and shoot camera.
