Winter Blahs? 50mm f/1.4 to the rescue!

My apologies to those of you who actually like winter. I need a break from the grey skies & sub-freezing temperatures. Florida it’s not, but at least this shot makes me think Spring can’t be too far off.

I pulled this out of the 1st group of shots I took with my 50mm f/1.4 when I got it last April. This was cropped out of the center of a shot taken at f/1.4; 1/4000 sec @ ISO 100.

The 50 mm is not really a Macro lens, but I liked the colors in this shot. Not sure whether this was the right forum for this, but it's the one I chose.

I know the feeling,I started a topic in the macro section called Food Macros where I just throw on some extension tubes or my 100mm macro and get shots of food <-- Click to see :)

Well, winter landscapes can be fun too, if you can get a clear day with some frost or snow.

Hah - I laugh at winter! This weekend will be one of the coldest here in a few years, with temps in the 10's below 0. Perfect weather for finding eagles to photograph, which is what I'll be out doing. Ok, so I'll probably be shooting from the car most of the time...:cool:
