It's the middle of winter and I need a pick-me-up. I thought I'd process a shot I intended to do this summer. A 3 exposure HDR shot in a park. What do you guys think?

It shows very few pixels being blown out in the very teensy highlight areas, and there is a lot of black (value = 0) piled up in the left margin, also indicating significant underexposure. The picture actually appears at first glance to be more underexposed than it is. Bob

The goal isn't always the widest dynamic range, but getting a look and feel that suits the image. Hence, sometimes the histogram can be a bit goofy looking. Robert_Lay wrote in post #2627158 Having said all that, the image is nonetheless quite striking. I especially like the luminosity of the bark on the silhouetted tree trunks. It gives the picture a very dreamy quality that I don't think you could get without the Merge to HDR process. Congratulations! Thanks I'm glad you liked it. I was going for a dreamy type look to it. Andrew
