Saturday was spent walking up Whernside in the Dales, the ground is frozen and the wind was unbelievable but this made for interesting conditions. Sometime sun, sometimes fog and sometimes waiting around for 45 minutes till the sun came out for a few seconds....it always seemed to be way over yonder!

So a couple from Sat, no completely happy, but I need opinions. :)

You know how some images just make you go wow? Well #1 one def does that for me, excellent fore, mid and backgrounds, amazing lighting too and the contrast of the image is beautiful. IMO #2 and #3 are good images that show the location, but that's all they do for me. Yorkshire looks a beautiful place, you capture it well.

Neil, I always look forward to your posts, but for some reason this time I can't see any pictures. I refreshed a couple of times and did get number three, but it has gone again:(

Strange you can't see them, I have had problems with uploads to this forum before but never viewing. Try these:

Like I say I am not perfectly happy, but your comments are giving me confidence in the first.

The first one is amazing! It's so beautiful it looks like you spent 6 hours on it with Photoshop.

Luck is an important element to gather all the conditions to allow such a great picture, but your talent was without question the key success factor here!
Respect!

I too have to admit the first one is amazing! Great!

You must have use at least a CP or a GND filter? Or both? :)

Not quite 6 hours :| and luck is important, although I had originally set out for waterfalls I noticed the sky was breaking up in the wind and the tops of the dales were exposed. I changed my mind and decided to hike up Whernside where I had some incredible views! Weather depending, I will be looking at the other peaks too.

Both CP and 3 stop ND grad for number 1. Having never used a 105mm CP this was also a learning experience.

The first one deserves to be hanging on your wall with a motivational phrase beneath it. Simply amazing.

All good shots Neil, but the first one stands head and shoulders above the other two.
