The big tree seems to stretch its branches over the bridge in the background making the bridge sort of looking small, and the big blocks in the foreground put heavy weight on the bottom of the shot. The pretty small fisher with the wood post in his back seems to be rather unimportant in this composition, does he maybe feel that way? The bridge feels a bit blurry, maybe due to the compression artifcats? The mood is calm, silent but also not very inviting to sit down and enjoy. So, to me, this shot talks about a guy that picked a not so inviting spot to go fishing in overcast weather... or in other words, the mood is melancholic to me. If that was the intention, it works. :)

cheers

I like the shot though I don't see the fisherman as the main focus, for some reason my eye goes straight to the bridge. The post coming out of him bothers me too, maybe PP it right out of there. I would try to crop it, like habakuk said, the rocks are a little too much for me.I think it's a great shot though, keep it up!

Starting from scratch :)
