It may not be apparent from this angle, but the fuselage reminds many of a section of sewer pipe in shape and size.

In that case, you may refer to it as the Fairchild/Swearengen/M​erlin Metroliner III or IV depending on variant-there now, wasn't that easy?

If you sat in a Metro 3 or 4, you would see the reason why, just a nick name. We have a Merlin 2B in our fleet. They are a great A/C to fly........
