Before i started birding, i thought there was only one type of sparrow in this world. Now i know better.
I think they are beautiful little birds. The differences make it worth chasing after them. So far i have collected only 5 sparrow species. Will keep pursuing. Anyone care to send some White-crowned and White-throated over? LOL...

C/C welcome.

Very nice captures and pictures are well taken.

I'm sure the subtle differences are important to many people, but for me they are sparrows.

Beautiful and lovely series Fee. The differences are very subtle and on a first look, it's really hard to tell which is which.

Beautiful shots, very well composed and sharp. I have grown to appreciate sparrows and they are both challenging and beautiful. The Sav. and Lincoln's sparrow shots are my favorite. I'll make you a deal, I'll send some white crowned and white-throated sparrows if you send me some Painted Buntings and Scissor-tailed Flycatchers!

Fee, very nice series. We have a lot here, too. The white crowned sparrow is the only one that stands out at first glance. All the others are sort of just "LBJ'S"--you know, little brown jobbies!

Lovely series Fee. I'm sure that I've seen more species than I recognised.

Thanks for looking and commenting Mitch, Gardengirl, hTr, Paul, Reyno, Gary, ngannet, Mark, Philc123, Dan, Stephen, Mike. Glad you like them. :)
Ngannet, Dan, that sounds like a fair deal. White-crowned, White-throated, Snow Bunting for Scissor-tailed and Painted bunting. I'll throw in an Indigo Bunting if you can get me Gary's Snowy owl too.
