Posted Pic in Wrong Forum...Critiques?

I'm sorry for posting the same picture in a second forum. I'm new here, and I didn't realize this is the real place to get some comments and critiques from those who know more than me.

Welcome to the POTN. Never apologize for such. Look at it as an overly complicated environment for the un-initiated. After a while, it all makes sense, but it does take a while.

Nice image, and it was handled fairly well. The depth of focus (DoF) is inadequate for the subject as you can see blurring in the right side of the image due to being out of focus (OoF).

Lighting seems to be ideal for the subject.

For such tasks, you can reduce the distracting background effects by using a seamless backdrop (large sheet of paper with no folds) as can be seen in many pro photographer's work.
