I really love these!! There is something about the first shot that does not quite work however, IMO anyway. Seems too OOF or too much effect or something? I get the concept and really love it though. Maybe if the ring was in great focus it would have worked better? Not sure. But I really LOVE them all!! Great stuff!!

I have to agree with the first shot, for some reason the original (the ring) is not so blurred, its much sharper than it looks here.

great work- you should post these in the wedding section. I like #1-but #2 is my fav-great mood/emotion. You've got an eye--can't believe it's only your 3rd!

IMO On the first one it's not the ring being out of focused it's how it's framed. The ring isn't the focal point of the picture. The first your eyes goes to is the out of focus faces. I think you needed to be closer to to ring. Maybe the hands higher looking down on the faces.
The two B&W are awesome especially #2.

These are good...very pleasing to my eyes and I should think the clients' as well. The gentleman, from the side, at least, reminds me of M. Night Shymalan

The soft ones are not for everyone thats for sure, usually the ones I have PPed a bit more! These were ones I thought were most interesting.

try using an ultra wide angle or even a fisheye for the first shot. bring it in tight on the hands with the engagement ring and shoot away! the rest are fantastic!
