They're on the dark side here too. To dark to make out any details. 7D MKII ■ 10-22 ■ 15-85 ■ 28-135 ■ Σ 50-150 ■ 70-200 f4L ■ 100-400L ■ 580EX II

Lightened the shadows by 50% to make this one look about right on my monitor. 7D MKII ■ 10-22 ■ 15-85 ■ 28-135 ■ Σ 50-150 ■ 70-200 f4L ■ 100-400L ■ 580EX II

Feb 02, 2007 16:17 | #6 I dunno man...I mean I guess it's better in some ways, but I do like the contrast on my original. Could just be that i was shooting at the wrong time of day (facing west at sunset) with the wrong settings...for me the redeeming quality of the first two is the darkness, as well as the contrast seen in the graffiti on the tracks. 5D, 17-40mm f/4 L, 24-105 f/4 L IS

Not to dark to make out the picture, but still looks way to dark. The one Eagle did looks much better. Are you using a calibrated monitor Alec? Most uncalibrated monitors I have calibrated for friends and family were very bright, to bright. It is a night and day difference between the two.

On the photo note, I really like the 3rd one. No, it's not calibrated. I can however see each individual gradation on this contrast bar: However, let's see what we can do now...was processing with Canon's RAW utility back in April, and am now on CS2, which is a bit better ![]()
