Ok, I've posted previously asking about the same question, but I guess I wasn't specific enough.

I own the Canon 17-40 and 70-200 2.8 IS

I want to buy graduated filters for them, something like .06, I think.

I want to make the sky darker so it is not blown out, yet the ground area is not darker, hence graduated? Right?

EXACTLY what do I need to buy? I know they don't have the screw on filters for this, so I need to buy some kind of bracket thing, right? What size bracket, what size filters?

As specific as possible would be of much help. I have searched endlessly here and on Google, I have gone through BHphoto and Adorama looking and just am not sure what I am suppose to buy to make this work. The 17-40 would be my first priority to get one, but since they are both 77 mm maybe I just need to buy one filter and one bracket?

Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to the Cokin filter system (external link) which, at the very least, is typical of what you are looking for.

Thanks, the picture on that link tells a thousand tales for me in explaining what the heck I need.

Cheers!

All I'll add is that for your camera you don't need to get the WA Cokin holder; if you had a FF body you might. Also, Cokin filters are gray, but not wquite neutral; Lee, HiTech or (my favourite) Singh Ray are more expensive, but neutral. Galen Rowell article on grads reprinted at the Singh Ray site (external link).
