I recieved the remaining portion of my rebate yesterday, and have voted accordingly...option 2...bogus rejection but paid up in the end.
I have another rebate that was just sent in last week, so hopefully all will be OK this time.....or maybe I will have to vote again!
Tom

i got screwed this time around. I sent my UPC in from my 30D and they sent me a note that they never got them. Most likely the person who opened the envelope probably lost them. Oh well their word against mine. and unfortunatley i didn't make copies. (slap!) i did make copies of everything else etc but the UPC.lol. oh well live and learn.

I taped three UPCs onto the same sheet of paper and made copies, copied my three warranty cards to the same sheet of paper and made copies...
For the second (single item) rebate, I taped the UPC to the same sheet of paper the warranty card was copied on, made copies, and noted that the rebate should be doubled due to previous submission.
I figured copying/attaching items together would give them less chance to lose anything....though they still tried to claim I was missing one of the three warranty card copies even though all three were on the same sheet of paper:rolleyes:

Also...when you pre-register your rebate online, it does not take into account that you have already submitted a previous rebate and double your new item....I noted this on several of the forms submitted...and made copies...

Well, after some more light arguing, I now have "check approved". I would have been SOL if not for this forum though, as I had to fax everything in since it was "lost" originally.

An interesting note. The rebate center updated my online pre register form with "missing reciept". Now, how is that possible when they said they never got ANY of it?

My rebate came up as "Check Mailed" today *despite* the fact that I forgot to submit the S/N barcode from the 400 f5.6 box. I was expecting to have to fight and resubmit. So assuming I actually get the check, I'm happy.

But yeah, I made copies of everything and put USPS tracking on the envelope.

Step 3 of 4 within a month.

Dang I am just getting lucky. Never had a problem besides them being slow earlier in this rebate season. This one sure seems to be moving fast though!

For what it worth - when sending in rebates I copy the UPC and & receipt onto each and every piece of paper I send along with my contact info.

Received an email this week that my rebate will be here in 2-3 weeks and I just mailed it off 2 weeks ago. Never had problems in the past either.

Hello everybody, wanted to let y'all know I'm one of the lucky ones! I submitted two different rebates almost a month apart, got both checks, in full, a day apart! To quote from the A-Team, I Love It When A Plan Comes Together! :)

How funny, weird, suspicious? I had the same thing happen to me on a rebate check (not Canon). I called them and they reissued. I would suggest calling Canon directly, not YA.
