Hey guys,
I bought the bogen/manfrotto 3007 table top tripod kit and the screw is too large for my Rebel XT! Is there some kind of workaround? Maybe some kind of step down adapter? Any helpt would be appreciated.
Thanks!

The male thread on the ball head is 1/4-20 and should fit the camera if you don't have something already jammed into the tripod thread socket on the camera. Did you possibly put a 1/4-3/8 adapter (1/4-20 female inner thread and 3/8-16 male outer thread) on the ball head's stud that is supposed to go into the camera's socket? Skip, same thought I had. John

Just so the OP can picture it, here is what the 1/4-3/8 adapter looks like: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …EG&addedTroughType=search just twist it off and you should have the 1/4 thread to fit the camera. John That looks like the piece that is already on the ball head itself. Maybe this converter piece was placed on by accident? I'm gonna see if it unscrews from the ball head right now.

Feb 01, 2007 22:46 | #11 Thanks for your help guys! Turns out there was that threading converter piece on it. So i just used some pliers to get a good grip and unscrewed it off from the normal threads and now it fits!
