Im using the 3021BPro. I got it because when I finally get all my gear on my wishlist I feel that it would hold it all steady, and firm. Its an overkill right now with my gear but I would rather buy the best first and once, that way Im not spending more in the future. It was $171.50 s&h included from B&H (external link)

I use the Bogen 055, it works fine for me. No matter how rigid your tripod is you have to be smooth when rotating from detent to detent. The slightest camera shake can spoil a frame in the sequence. If you do not already have a remote shutter release buy one I found it a must have when shooting panos.
