Was asked by a friend of ours if I'd take some photos of her kids. Here's the result of some of them. Still getting to grips with the new lights. C&C more than welcome (8 pics).

Thanks SkWkEkiE....Yes, I bought a 4' x4' x ¼" piece of clear plexi-glass from my local DIY shop and these were my 1st attempt using it.

Thanks again. :)

I only went for a cheap set, here: http://www.prolinestudio.co.uk/Studio_Product.asp?ID=69 (external link)

2 x lights with 2x 60cm softboxes. They were £160.00. I know you get what you pay for but I'm happy with these for now whilst I'm learning. :)

Thanks all for the comments. :)

I used my 8.5' x 16' white Muslin backdrop on my background support. :)

great shots and good lighting. just goes to show you dont have to spend mega bucks on expensive lights. how did you get the background so white. what was the placement of the lights. i currently have 2 interfit EX150 lights. 1 softbox and 1 brolly but not getting the BG that white.
great shots

Thanks for the comments. I spent a while trying to get the best position for a 2 x light setup and it was POTN member saqib who suggested the one that seems to work best (see attached image) (big thanks to saqib for his help).

After each shot, I also touch up a bit using the dodge tool in PS just to make sure the bg is even. :)

thanks for the info. so your main light is lower than the background light.
i think i will have to pick up a reflector. im thinking aiming 1 light only with no reflector would just cast half the BG.
thanks again for the info
