Had the opportunity to shoot this band again. This time I was able to take a 24-70 f/2.8, also, it wasn't @ the pitch black Masquerade but a church. Lighting was much better.

Wow, it's really "neat" different...looks almost animated...the curtain/backdrop and the lighting on the face make it look almost unreal...

I'd like to see more of the series, since you did say you had very good lighting. This is a nice shot that I'm sure they would like. I agree though as you can get a better "mood" of the performance without the flash.

Was this a performace, or posed? It looks more like a posed photo.

See what happens around here if you dare use flash?

looking at the last shot again could you crop in to the player more? as you have just cut the headstock of the Guitar.
