Yeah I figured from looking at your shots you were on the opposite side. I was at the west end of the dome on the 30 yard line. Since I had no idea what the configuration was going to be prior to getting in there, I figured we would go in on the southside of the dome and sit along the Colts bench side of the field.
It worked out great too. We drove by the front of the dome and saw literally a couple of 1000 people standing on the deck and steps leading up to the main entrance, and this was at 2:30. So we parked at Victory Field ($5.00) and made a short walk to the backside of the dome. Once there we found a corner where air from inside the dome was being exhausted. Being that it was in a corner and out of the wind, plus the fact that it was about 70 degrees there, we stayed until just a few minutes before 3. Then we toughed out the remaining 15 minutes in the cold. Dragging along the wife, youngest son and his girlfriend slowed me down but we did manage to get 2nd row seats still.

One of these days we will get together.....probably when this snow melts and temps are more comfortable outside LOL.

On shooting sports...If you see it happen then you didn't get it.

Jeff, it sounds like you and I scoped out about the same spot on opposite sides of the field. I was at about the 37 yard line. I saw those thousands of people at the main entrance too. I went around to entrance #4 and there wasn't a soul there until almost time to go in... but I did have to wait in the cold for over 90 minutes. I felt like Leonardo DeCaprio in Titanic by the time they opened the doors. (The shots I got were worth it though).

I only managed to watch the first half:cry:

But what a cracking half it was. I dont watch as much NFL as I'd like to (it's not broadcast on regular tv over here in the UK) but I'm glad the superbowl was shown. I was split at the beginning as to who I'd like to win but I'm glad it was the colts. Enjoyed watching Peyton Manning too. Normally I find the superbowl to be much like soccer cup finals - i.e. a bit of a let down, but this one was a cracker.:D

Does anyone know if I can download the match as I missed the second half:mad: and really want to see it?

You missed the best part!!!

I wish I could help you with a link to watch it again. I don't know of any. However if anyone is interested in taking a look at some of the shots I took of the Colt's victory celebration when they got home, I posted a few of them here:

The pictures can't convey the excitement in the RCA Dome that day unfortunately. Please let me know what you think.
