With no post-processing, any advice or suggestion to improve?

it depends on what you are trying to achieve, as these shots may work well in a collection, but by themselves they do not say much to me.

the first one is abstract, and in fact I have no idea what it is. Looks like some welded joint on some metal work, but as I said, as a stand alone image, it does not mean much, but could work in a collection of similar images...

i think both could also be sharper. are they hand held?

Partially experimentation with lenses and partially testing the color tone on the camera and trying to capture objects in a different perspective.

i was always told (and i forget whom by) to take ALL photos in full colour and make any alterations later on the PC.

Reason; you can make a colour photo to mono very easily on a PC, but it is VERY tough to make a mono photo into a colour photo.

Who knows what you will do with the photos in the future. If you start using the B/W or sepia modes in the camera, you may regret it in the future when you want a full colour image from the same shot...

Of course, you do what you want, no one is stopping you, it was just some advise that I think is quite logical...

the running shoe shot does nothing for me. The other one is a guitar (right?) and I like that...not sure what emotion you want the viewer to feel though. If it's an abstract, good work.

QUOTED IMAGE

The baby by itself is a fantastic shot. In the context of the whole picture, I find it somewhat creepy. Just me, maybe, cuz I find most babies creepy :D

I think it's a great job of PP. You took an ordinary snapshot and turned it into a very interesting composition. Nice goin'
