My CRT bit the dust, so I purchesed a new Samsung SyncMaster 204b flatscreen. Is there anything I should do to it to ensure I am getting the best image during photo editing. I have yet to read the owners manual. Thank you in andvance for your help.

If you're using a mac, it should have a profile already built-in to the Mac OS. You may need to calibrate it periodically, but my experience is that the Samsungs play very nicely with Macs. If you only plan on using one monitor, the Spyder2Express is an economical way to go (for both Macs and Windows). "Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I was mostly wondering if I needed to adjust any of the factory settings for image manipulation (Photoshop). I will be reading the owners manual this evening. Thanks for your help. Lovin' my 80D
