well i've owned it from the start... I do switch memory cards though.
I'm in Lancaster Now... moving to Dillsburg in March.

I'm pretty sure switching memory cards messes up the numbering so you lose a true count. Unless it only matters when you use more than one body. Not 100% certain on that though.

That's cool. Not many SCPA'ers on here that I know of. At first I thought you were related to the owners of Snavely's Garden Corner until I thought "derr...spelling's different."

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

If you've only used the cards in one camera there won't be a numbering problem. It's when you've got 2 or 3 bodies that you may use cards in randomly that you can get messed up numbering.

I waited until the year warranty was almost up and sent m 30D off to Canon for a cleaning and checkup.
I don't think I would do it yearly (or regularly) unless I needed to but I figured why not take advantage of the service offered within the warranty period.

I also did this so that if I choose to sell my 30D now or around rebate season I can show the paperwork to the new buyer to see the camera checked out and was up to spec.

I'm not worrying about the shutter life on my cameras, I will upgrade long before they fail. And if they do fail, well it's only about £100 to get it fixed, or less if you do it yourself....
