RED FLAG is an advanced aerial combat training exercise hosted at Nellis Air Force Base (external link), Nevada (external link). Air crews from the Air Force (external link), other U.S. military (external link) branches and allies take part in the exercises. The goal is to maximize the combat readiness and survivability of participants by providing a realistic training environment and a forum that encourages a free exchange of ideas. Combat units from the United States and its allied countries engage in realistic combat training scenarios carefully conducted within the Nellis Range Complex.

Great shots. As a pilot I really like them. Which lens were you using on number 1?

Most of the shots were taken with a 500mm f4 IS USM on a 1Dmk2n, I was also using my trusty 20D with a 100-400mm IS USM for backup.

Great series of shots. Are those ZZ F-15's from 44fs?. I think they may be very well travelled if so, becasue I have a photo of 013 (film - nearly nine years ago ;-)a ) from here in Oz.
